Bulldog Bites

      from the elementary school

_______________________________________________________

Week of November 6-10

  • Howdy, WBES Families!  This is Big Bug Principal Bond reporting on the ‘Wild West’ Book Fair that is in full swing.   Information has been shared with teachers and sent home to families regarding the book fair hours and team contests.  Students have done a great job and as a result have seen me prepare for the Rodeo Showdown as I add more items to my Rodeo Outfit.  Please label donations to the book fair accordingly.

  • JDRF Perky Turkey Fundraiser is also in motion to raise money for the holiday fund to help local families at holiday time as well as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  Each charity will receive 50% of monies raised.  Please continue to send donations through Friday, Nov. 17 and remember to label donations to this fundraiser accordingly.  We realize there was a lot going on this week and will plan better in the future  to spread out your very generous donations for our various activities.

  • We have concluded Fall MAP testing.  If you would like a report of your child's fall score please email Mrs. Pye at kpye@williamsbayschool.org.  A report of the years scores will go out in June.

  • Don’t forget, Family Bingo Night is TOMORROW, Friday, November 10.  Please join the SCA, School Community Association,  for this fun family event from 6:30-7:30 in the elementary cafeteria.  There will be prizes, a raffle, and an opportunity to purchase dabbers for $2.00 and water & candy for $1.00 each.

  • There is no school on Monday, November 13 due to Teacher Inservice.

  • Please be sure students have appropriate coats, hats, mittens/gloves for the cold weather.  The Williams Bay Elementary playground area seems colder than any other place in The Bay, especially with the wind.  Please contact the WBES office if you need assistance obtaining winter gear for your students.

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Nov. 14 and Nov. 16 from 3:45-7:15.  We will not have babysitting available this year.  Please make arrangements or plan to bring your young children with you to conferences. You should receive an email reminder through the online system 4 days prior to your conference date.  You are also welcome to contact your child’s teacher or the school office for the date/time of your conference.

  • Questions about Taher Lunch Program should be directed to Cathie Gudino at 262-245-6224.
