Bulldog Bites

      from the elementary school

Week of November 13-17

  • Thank you for all of your generous donations to the JDRF Perky Turkey Fundraiser which raised money for the holiday fund to help local families at holiday time as well as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The Turkey Trot will be on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 1:30.

  • Howdy, WBES Families!  This is Big Bug Principal Bond with an update on the ‘Wild West’ Book Fair. Students have done a great job participating in the book fair contests and as a result have seen me prepare for the Rodeo Showdown as I add more items to my Rodeo Outfit.  The Book Fair is open for the last day tomorrow, Nov. 17 until 4:00.  If we meet our goal of selling 1600 books, the Rodeo Showdown will be on Tuesday, Nov. 21 after the Turkey Trot.

  • Williams Bay Holiday Help - The times are hard for many in our community. The deadline to request Holiday Help is November 24. Please make your requests by filling out the form at If you do not have access to the online form, paper copies are available in the office and are due Nov. 21.  We also need support for the Holiday Help Program. Monetary donations are appreciated! Please drop off donations at the Elementary or Middle/High School Office before December 15. Money is used to purchase clothes and toys for families in our community. Checks can be made out to Williams Bay School.

  • Remember to ensure students are dressed warm for the cold weather.  The Williams Bay Elementary playground area seems colder than any other place in The Bay, especially with the wind.

  • 1st - 5th Grade Winter Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 12 @ 6:30.  Doors will open at 6:00.

    • Students will leave coats with families and sit in assigned seat on the bleachers.

    • Students will sit in the bleachers with their teacher while waiting to sing.

    • While the 5th grade band plays, students will silently move from the bleachers to stage/ stage to bleachers.

    • Dismissal to parents after concert: Mrs. Campbell will call grade levels to leave the gym and line up by grade level cone in the entryway.  One family member will retrieve students from the entryway to avoid congestion and confusion.

  • The 4K/5K Concert will be held on Friday, December 15 at 9:00.  The afternoon 4K class will join the morning class for this concert and will not attend in the afternoon.  There will be a reception with cookies and milk after the concert in the cafeteria.

  • Please note that Christmas Vacation is from Dec. 21 through Jan. 2.  Classes resume on Jan. 3

  • Due to the short week before the Thanksgiving break, there will not be a Bites sent out next week.
